About

Alfredo “Al” Lujan

Alfredo “Al” Lujan is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, former Texas State Trooper, retired Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal, and longtime public servant whose life has been dedicated to serving his country, protecting his community, and helping others.

A native of El Paso, Texas, Al was raised with a strong foundation of faith, family, personal responsibility, and service. His desire to serve his country led him to the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the discipline, leadership, teamwork, and commitment to mission that would guide him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Al continued his commitment to public safety as a Texas State Trooper. He later joined the United States Marshals Service, where he served for more than two decades and ultimately became a Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal. Throughout his law enforcement career, Al worked alongside federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and gained extensive experience in leadership, criminal investigations, fugitive operations, court security, and public safety.

After approximately 34 years of combined military and law enforcement service, Al retired from federal law enforcement, but not from public service.

Al remains actively involved in his community and is especially committed to supporting veterans, law enforcement, families, and those who need a helping hand. His service to others also extends through his Catholic faith. Over the years, he has been involved with the Knights of Columbus, ACTS retreats, parish leadership, and other faith-based activities centered on fellowship, service, and strengthening families.

Al believes leadership is not about a title, it is about responsibility, accountability, integrity, and being willing to serve alongside the people you lead. Whether wearing the uniform of a United States Marine, a Texas State Trooper, or a Deputy U.S. Marshal, his guiding principle has remained the same: service before self.

Today, Al continues working to make a positive difference in El Paso and the surrounding community. He remains committed to the values that have guided him throughout his life: God, Country, Family, and Service.
